The event will take place at Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Event Venue is Buddha Dordenma Statue Parking.

The event offers various race categories including Marathon (42.195 KM), Half Marathon (21.097KM), 10 Km,5Km and 2.5 Km, All distances are Timed Run except 5 and 2.5 km.

Yes, there will be BIB Expo one day prior to the event day on 26th September at Venue only from 10:30 am to 7 pm at Changlimithang Football Stadium, Thimphu, Bhutan. Registered participants will be informed about the BIB Expo 10 Days prior to the event.

Marathon & Half Marathon - Minimum Age should be 18 Years on event day 10 KM - Minimum 12 Years on event day 5 KM and 2.5 KM - Minimum age should be 8 Years on event day.

Absolutely! The Thimphu Marathon encourages participation from runners of all levels, from beginners to experienced athletes. It's a celebration of fitness and the spirit of running.

Yes, aid stations with water, energy drinks, and first aid support will be strategically placed along the route to ensure the well-being of participants, Participants will get Hydration support at every 1-2.5 km.

Yes, there will be Cash prizes for winners in the Marathon and Half Marathon. Only the Top 3 winners Male and female will get the cash prizes. There are no cash prizes for age categories winners Trophies will be given to age categories winners. Age categories winners will be announced within 24 Hours on our official website Trophies will be sent by courier within 7 working days.

Absolutely! The Thimphu Marathon welcomes supporters and spectators to cheer for the participants and enjoy the event's vibrant atmosphere.

Yes, timing chips will be provided to participants to ensure accurate timing and results for Marathon, Half Marathon and 10KM Runners.

The top 3 males and 3 females in Marathon and Half Marathon will be rewarded with cash prizes

Note:- There are no cash prizes in age categories. Only trophies will given to age categories winners with Certificates
